The Mogul has anchored South Street in Manningtree under head chef Minar Miah, who led a thirty-thousand-pound refurbishment in November 2024 to draw back footfall lost during the pandemic years. The restaurant occupies a Grade II listed building and serves Bangladeshi and North Indian dishes, with a menu that pairs classic curry-house staples with newer additions introduced during the relaunch. Design input for the refit came from Stevie Sheppard, park director at Jimmy's Farm, alongside Ben Hubbard, bringing a warmer interior without altering the kitchen's long-standing recipes. Miah has described the business as personal rather than corporate, crediting the community's response to the reopening for keeping it going. Regulars use it for family celebrations and weekly takeaway orders alike, and the November reopening drew broadcaster Luke Deal and farmer-broadcaster Jimmy Doherty among the guests.
