Paul Everett owns and runs this vinyl record shop on South Street in Braintree, stocking new and secondhand records across pop, rock, punk, new wave, folk, metal, funk and soul, country, jazz, reggae and dance music. The shop has traded from these South Street premises for more than sixteen years, building its stock through regular buying of local collections alongside new releases and reissues. Everett serves customers directly across the counter, working from what a customer already owns rather than a fixed genre list when making recommendations. The shop stocks Record Store Day releases each year alongside its ongoing secondhand turnover, and buys collections for cash. Opening hours run Tuesday to Thursday 10am to 4pm, Friday 10am to 5pm and Saturday 10am to 5.30pm, with the shop closed on Sundays and Mondays.
