Oceantrek

Oceantrek runs rigid inflatable boat tours from the pontoons at Fort William's West End car park, out onto Loch Linnhe and Loch Eil beneath Ben Nevis. Alex Leek set up the business in 2019 and skippers the boats, adjusting speed and stops for seals, sea eagles and other wildlife spotted along the shore rather than following a fixed script. Trips range from a shorter loch tour to longer sea safaris, with passengers kitted out in flotation suits for the open-topped boats. The business runs from spring to autumn depending on weather and daylight, with several sailings a day in season. Recent visitor reviews through 2026 mention seals, mountain views and guides with local knowledge as the recurring highlights. It operates independently, with its own boats and moorings rather than as part of a larger tour operator, and is one of several RIB and boat trip businesses working out of Fort William's harbour area.
