Patricks of Camelon has operated from 334 Main Street since 1961, when James Patrick Snr, who had worked for meat businesses in Lanarkshire, opened his own butcher's shop in Camelon. The business is now run by his son Jim, with a third generation involved day to day: grandson James runs the front shop while grandson Jon bakes the pies and other bakery goods fresh each morning on the premises. The counter sells fresh meat alongside the in-house pies, and the shop has built a following for recipes developed over three generations of family ownership. Patricks supplies both individual customers and local trade across the Falkirk area, and is listed with Scotch Butchers, the industry body for Scottish craft butchers. The shop remains a single-site, family-owned business trading from its original Camelon premises, more than sixty years after it first opened.
