Kirk Butchers

Kirk Butchers, trading as George Kirk & Sons, is a family butcher on Stirling Street in Denny town centre. The shop cuts and prepares meat on site and supplies both retail customers and some local trade, but it is best known for its steak pies, which draw repeat custom from across the district. It took a silver award at the 2019 Scottish Craft Butcher Awards, a Scotland-wide judging run by the trade body for independent butchers. The counter carries the usual range of beef, lamb, pork, poultry and made-up items such as sausages, burgers and pies, prepared in the traditional way rather than bought in ready-made. It is a single-shop, independent business open Monday to Saturday, one of a small number of long-standing butchers still trading on Denny's main shopping street rather than a supermarket meat aisle.
