The BeerCave

The Beer Cave is an independent bottle shop on Dalry Road, run by Shaun Buckle and Lynsey Clark since they registered the business in 2016. Shelves stacked floor to ceiling hold bottles and cans from breweries across Scotland and further afield, including names such as Redchurch, Beavertown, Magic Rock and Fierce Beer, alongside a smaller selection of wines and spirits. Staff run tasting sessions in the shop and take the same tastings out to offices and private events elsewhere in the city. The pair built the stock list through direct relationships with breweries rather than wholesalers, changing what's on the shelves as new beers become available, and customers can ask staff for recommendations matched to what they already drink. The shop has featured in The Skinny's list of Edinburgh's best food and drink retailers.
