The Grange stands in Port Ellen on Islay, a two-storey stone house built in 1845 as a manse for Sir John Ramsay of Kildalton. Harold and Margaret Hastie run it today as a two-room guesthouse, with ensuite bedrooms looking over Port Ellen bay towards the Irish coast. Guests are served a full Scottish breakfast each morning, with a personalised alternative available on request. The house sits within three miles of Laphroaig, Lagavulin and Ardbeg distilleries and a short walk from the Port Ellen ferry terminal, with Islay Airport around four miles away. Private parking and garden seating are provided, and stays run to a minimum of two nights. No pets or indoor smoking are permitted. The Hasties also let a separate self-catering cottage on the property.
