Pinch LaDeli

Pinch La Deli occupies a corner unit at 312 Lea Bridge Road, on the boundary between Leyton and Walthamstow, opened by husband and wife Eihab and Hiromi. Shelves run close together with imported stock from Italy, Japan and France: tinned fish, dried pasta, teas and condiments, sold alongside daily-made pasta dishes served from a small window counter. Doorstep Italian sandwiches, coffee and pastries are available to take away or eat at a handful of outside tables, and a compact bar built into the counter pours negroni, Old Fashioned and Campari soda. The deli is a single-site, family-run business with no other branches, and has become a fixture on Lea Bridge Road's short run of independent food shops linking the two neighbourhoods.
