Made ByOre

Made By Ore runs from City Studios on Borwick Avenue, Walthamstow, founded in 2011 by Royal College of Art graduate Lucie Gledhill. The workshop teaches jewellery-making and silversmithing, from a single evening class on forming a silver ring through to bespoke commissions for gold wedding and engagement bands. A resident team of makers works alongside the teaching programme, producing brooches, candlesticks and other metalwork sold through the studio. Classes run in small groups on the workshop's own benches and tools, with students working a piece through from raw metal to finished object rather than assembling pre-cut parts. The business operates from this one Walthamstow site, a short walk from Blackhorse Road and Walthamstow Central stations, without other branches.
