Forest Wines

Jana Post and her husband opened Forest Wines on Forest Road in Walthamstow in spring 2014, one French, the other Czech, building a shop around low-intervention, organic and biodynamic producers rather than the mainstream wine aisle. The couple stock orange wines, pet nats and sulphite-free bottles alongside natural ciders and spirits, and they pour tastings from an in-shop bar most weekends. Forest Wines offers free next-day delivery across the E17 and E10 postcodes for larger orders, alongside click and collect for locals who prefer to browse the shelves themselves. The shop has become something of a community hub for the borough's wine drinkers, hosting producer visits and tasting evenings through the year. Forest Wines remains a single site run by its founders, without a second branch or wholesale arm beyond the shop itself.
