Wild CardBrewery

Andrew Birkby and William Harris began home-brewing together in 2012 and were joined a year later by Jaega Wise, turning the hobby into a commercial brewery in Walthamstow in 2014. Wild Card now brews from a production site on Lockwood Way, while the original Ravenswood Industrial Estate unit on Shernhall Street continues as the Barrel Store taproom, pouring eight or nine of its own beers alongside a pizza kitchen. Wise went on to become a well-known figure in UK brewing through television appearances, though the business remains owned by its three founders rather than a national brewer. The brewery also runs Tavern on the Hill, a 1700s pub it took over in 2020.
