PSpowage Art Gallery has operated in Nottingham since Pete Spowage opened his first space on Byard Lane in 1998, moving in 2020 to its present premises at 185 Mansfield Road. The gallery combines a working studio with retail and exhibition space, selling Spowage's own paintings and prints alongside work from other artists shown on a rotating basis. It functions as a single independent gallery rather than part of any wider chain, with Spowage continuing to paint on site between opening hours. The relocation followed rising costs at the Byard Lane unit in the city centre retail core, and the gallery has kept its focus on affordable, accessible original art rather than only established names.
