Raeburn Fine Wines has traded as a family-owned wine merchant since the early 1980s, growing from a single Edinburgh retail shop into an importer and distributor while keeping its original Comely Bank Road premises open to walk-in customers. More than half of the roughly 220 producers the company deals with directly farm organically or biodynamically, with a portfolio weighted towards France and Italy alongside smaller selections from Spain, Austria, Germany, the United States, New Zealand and South Africa. The shop offers tastings, advice on individual bottles, cellarage and glass hire alongside standard retail sales, aimed as much at customers building a cellar as those buying one bottle for dinner. Opening hours run Monday to Friday only, closed at weekends. The business remains run from its Edinburgh shop despite adding a London office.
