Real Magic Books opened on Wendover High Street as a family bookshop run by Carl and Sophie, stocking contemporary fiction, memoir, nature writing and children's titles. The shop occupies 2 Kings Head Parade, and its blog covers the kind of literary ground the shelves reflect, from essays on English landscape writing to reader discussions of new releases. It also runs a companion record shop, Real Magic Records, from the same address on its own more limited schedule of Thursday, Friday and Sunday afternoons plus Saturdays, distinct from the bookshop's own longer opening hours. The shop hosts author events and sells audiobooks alongside printed stock, and takes National Book Tokens.
