Slizza Pizza& Pub

Slizza occupies a corner site on Llandaff Road in Canton, opened as a bricks-and-mortar pub on 1 May 2023 by brothers John and David Beard, who grew up nearby. The pair began baking pizza dough made with Flowerhorn Brewery beer in their flat during the pandemic, before selling it through the back of another pub and on delivery apps for three years. The pub keeps a small main bar, a snug room behind it and a beer garden with a retractable roof, serving up to two rotating real ales from a gravity stillage alongside keg beer, local cider and the beer-dough pizza that gave the business its name. Board games are available, the pub is dog-friendly, and it hosts regular quiz nights, DJ sets and open mic evenings.
