Stratford Town Walk is an independent guided-walking business set up in June 2002 by John and Helen Hogg, who run it with a team of self-employed local guides. Its public town walk runs every day of the year and lasts up to two hours, covering Stratford-upon-Avon's streets, Shakespeare connections and wider history; a shorter 60-minute discovery walk runs on summer weekday afternoons. The same team runs a ghost walk through the older streets, a non-Shakespeare Walking Without Will route, and bespoke private, school and group tours. Walks set off from the Swan Fountain on Waterside, by a lamppost opposite the Sheep Street junction and about 200 yards in front of the Royal Shakespeare Theatre, with no need to pre-book the daily town walk. The routes are planned to be step-free where dropped kerbs allow, so they suit wheelchair users and pushchairs.
