Shakespeare Distillery

Shakespeare Distillery was founded in Stratford-upon-Avon in 2015 by Simon and Peter after two years developing their first spirit, Stratford Dry Gin, using botanicals associated with Tudor-period gardens. Production moved to its current site, Unit A on Drayton Manor Drive, in March 2019, and the distillery opened a second, retail-only outlet on the High Street in 2022. The range now includes fruit gins such as Mulberry and Rhubarb, a cask-strength, sherry-finished rum that won World's Best Rum at the World Rum Awards, vodka and limoncello. Stratford Dry Gin won an IWSC Silver Outstanding award in its debut year. The distillery runs gin school sessions and tours from the Drayton Manor Drive site and holds carbon-neutral certification. The founders describe the operation as small enough to handle distilling, bottling and labelling in-house, without contract production elsewhere.
