Margaret Elliott-Tredinnick, a former pharmacist from Enniskillen, and her husband John Tredinnick, an architect, bought the pub on Lisbellaw's Main Street and reopened it as the Dog & Duck Inn in June 2022. Northern Ireland licensing law required them to buy the premises along with its licence before they could sell drink to the public. The free house pours a rotating line-up of independent beers, ciders and spirits, unlike a tied house, and shares its building with the Glenwinny Distillery, which produces small-batch Irish whiskey, poitin and rum on site. Seasonal menus draw on local producers for dishes such as ale-battered cod and steak and ale pie. The Campaign for Real Ale named it Northern Ireland Pub of the Year in both 2024 and 2025. It opens Thursday to Saturday, with Sunday lunch served through autumn and winter.
