The EskbankHotel

Seven rooms in a Victorian walled garden inside the Eskbank and Newbattle Abbey conservation area — three doubles, two family quads, a twin and a single — kept by Ewan and Irene, who also trade the house under its older name of Rathan House. The breakfasts have taken a Taste of Scotland award and a Scottish Thistle award. The house is registered as cyclist-welcome, and the bus stop is twenty-five metres from the door.
