The Hampshire Bowman is a free house on Dundridge Lane, a country lane outside Bishop's Waltham. The current building dates to 1897, rebuilt after a fire destroyed its predecessor, and traded for decades under other names before adopting its current one in the 1970s, a nod to the archery club next door. Inside, a small entrance bar with board games sits alongside a larger dining room decorated with old photographs, bows and arrows, and a bicycle fixed to the beams. Five to twelve cask ales rotate alongside local ciders, and the kitchen serves food several lunchtimes and evenings a week. Outside, a large garden with a patio and play area looks over open farmland.
