A Slice of Vinyl began as a market stall run by Kieron nearly a decade ago, moving through a cafe unit before settling into its permanent shop at 103 Stoke Road, Gosport, in 2018. His partner Emma joined the business after leaving full-time employment, and the shop now runs as a family operation, with the couple's daughter helping out on Saturdays. The racks favour metal and punk, the genres Kieron knows best, alongside a growing selection of pop, hip-hop and country, mixing new pressings with second-hand vinyl and the occasional rare find. The shop doubles as a meeting point for Gosport's music fans, who Kieron says often walk out discovering something outside their usual taste. In-store performances have included Starsailor, Cast, Massive Wagons and Kula Shaker, and the shop marks Record Store Day each April with live music and giveaways.
