Carole Derbyshire-Styles moved her vintage furniture business into a former factory unit on Corwen's London Road after seven years trading from the town's High Street. Inside, around twenty dealers rent units selling antique, vintage and upcycled furniture, collectables and homeware, with a cafe added to the premises for customers to break for coffee or lunch. Derbyshire-Styles started out furnishing her own house from auctions after moving to Corwen with two young children, and turned the habit into a business once her daughters had left home. On the first Sunday of each month she opens the car park to a market for furniture dealers and craftspeople, alongside a personal trainer and a beautician who work from units in the building. The emphasis throughout is on keeping furniture out of landfill.
