VoxBox Music has traded from 21 St Stephen Street in Stockbridge since it opened on 21 May 2011, run by owner Darren Yeats. The front shop holds new and secondhand vinyl spanning rock, jazz, blues, folk, reggae, punk, electronic, indie and classical, stock kept mostly in VG+ condition or better. A back room holds a bargain stock of roughly 2,500 LPs priced under a pound, plus a further run of singles and albums at three pounds, and the shop buys collections directly from sellers. VoxBox operates a no-quibble money-back guarantee on purchases. It is one of several independent shops along St Stephen Street rather than part of a chain, staffed day to day by three people including Yeats. Opening hours run Wednesday to Sunday, with Monday and Tuesday closed; Saturday is the longest trading day, from half past ten until five.
