Surveyed
Brief Encounter Refreshment Room occupies the restored 1930s station buildings on platform one at Carnforth railway station, the set used for David Lean's 1945 film Brief Encounter. Owners Liam Law and Andrea Wren run it as a single bistro and bar serving breakfasts, lunches and cakes to rail passengers and visitors to the adjoining heritage centre. The clock seen in the film still hangs in the room. It has no other sites.
