Three brothers, Graham, Stuart, and Tom, own Shepherds' Hall Ale House on Chapel Street, with Tom running the micropub full-time while his brothers work other jobs. It opened in August 2014 as Chorley's first micropub, then expanded into the shop next door in December 2021, adding the Victoria Rooms and taking on its current double-barrelled name. The original taproom keeps a plainer, traditional feel with up to five handpulled cask ales, while the newer room adds keg lines, wine, and spirits. CAMRA named it Central Lancashire Pub of the Year in 2016 and Cider Pub of the Year the following year. The pub is free of tie to any brewery or pub company.
