Surveyed
Buckingham Old Gaol was built in 1748 with funding from Richard Temple, Viscount Cobham, and later served in turn as the town's police station, then a fire station, before Buckingham Heritage Trust opened it as a museum in 1993. Original cells now house the Flora Thompson collection, Buckinghamshire Military Trust exhibits, and coins from the Lenborough Hoard found nearby.
