Cafe Wynd occupies a corner unit on Cross Wynd in Dunfermline's town centre, opened by Stewart and Lynva Forrest after the couple relocated from Edinburgh. Lynva designed the interior herself, giving the small café its mismatched chairs and close-set tables. The kitchen turns out a full breakfast, bagels and a Mexican-style breakfast plate until half past eleven, with waffles served all day and a lunch menu of soup, sandwiches, salads and a daily fishcake special. Coffee is locally roasted, and the café is dog friendly with a walk-in-only policy and no table reservations. Vegan and vegetarian dishes sit alongside the cooked breakfasts on the same menu. The café is independently owned and operates from a single site, with opening hours running from 8.30am to 4.30pm on weekdays, shorter on Monday and Sunday.
