Church House is a Georgian town house on Church Road in Kington, facing St Mary's Church across the road. Lis and Andrew Darwin have run it as a bed and breakfast for 35 years, offering two ensuite rooms that look over their garden. Andrew, a retired wine merchant, and Lis, a classical singer, greet arriving guests with tea or coffee and a slice of home-made cake before showing them up. Beds are made with laundered cotton sheets, and breakfast is cooked to order each morning. The house sits in the old part of Kington, within walking distance of the High Street and the start of Offa's Dyke Path. Rooms are let on a bed-and-breakfast basis only, with no separate restaurant or bar on site.
