The New Inn stands on Market Square in the black-and-white village of Pembridge, a half-timbered building dating from the 17th century with Grade II listing. Its public bar keeps a flagstone floor, an inglenook fireplace and an old settle largely unaltered, earning it a two-star listing from CAMRA as a pub interior of national historic interest. Jane's father bought the pub at auction, and Jane and Rosie have run it as licensees since 1991, alongside a separate lounge and a downstairs restaurant. The bar pours Hobsons Town Crier and Ludlow Gold alongside a rotating guest ale, usually from another local brewery, and stocks a wide range of malt whiskies. The pub closes all day Tuesday and opens for lunch and evening sessions on the other six days.
