Craven Museum sits inside Skipton Town Hall on the High Street, free to enter and open Wednesday to Monday, 9.30am to 4.30pm. It cares for around 60,000 objects: a First Folio of Shakespeare's plays printed in 1623, prehistoric and Roman items, displays on the limestone caves of Craven, and furniture by Robert Thompson, the Mouseman. It was one of five finalists for Art Fund Museum of the Year 2024. Opened 1928, originally in Skipton Library.
