Twin Locks Garden Centre was established in 1992 by Linda and Martin Twiss on Hellifield Road in Gargrave, taking its name from the paired locks on the adjoining Leeds and Liverpool Canal. The single-site centre concentrates on plants, stocking hardy shrubs, climbers, herbs, and seasonal bedding chosen for the Yorkshire Dales climate, alongside a bespoke border-planning and design service and the usual pots and sundries. Staff help pot up containers and carry purchases to customers' cars, and local delivery can be arranged. Positioned on the canal towpath next to the Anchor Inn, the centre has traded under the same family ownership for more than three decades, supplying gardens across Craven without expanding into other sites.
