Wesley Burden and Peter Nelson started in 2006 with a shipping container and a stubborn idea — craft beer and sourdough from the same operation — and rode Folkestone's harbour revival from 2016 until the Harbour Arm shop and taproom closed in September 2022 when the footfall thinned; the guide tells that plainly because the comeback is the point. The brewery and bakery reopened at Park Farm on 12 April 2025, the operation's ninth birthday in its harbour form, with a taproom along the coast in Sandgate and a tap at Canterbury's Goods Shed disclosed as the family of outlets. Bread and beer are the two oldest fermentations; Docker's insight was that one roof does for both.
