Eaton &Jones

Eaton & Jones is a family-run jeweller on the High Street in Tenterden, founded in 1989 by John and Karen after careers as designers and manufacturers that included spells in Hatton Garden and Windsor. Their daughter Emily has since joined the business, which still designs and makes jewellery on-site in platinum, gold and silver rather than sourcing pieces wholesale. Alongside bespoke commissions, the workshop handles repairs, alterations, restringing, engraving including heraldic seal work, and valuations carried out by NAJ-registered valuers. The shop also buys and sells pre-owned jewellery and undertakes restoration of vintage pieces. In 2021 the business won Best Bespoke Jewellery Manufacturer in Kent. After more than three decades on the same High Street site, Eaton & Jones continues to work mostly through personal commissions and repeat local custom rather than passing trade, and keeps limited hours built around appointments earlier in the week.
