Exe Coffee Roasters runs its shop and roasting operation from 19 Heavitree Road, just outside Exeter's city centre. Kim and Steve Pearson founded the business in 2012, and the small team still roasts around 300 kilos of beans a week on a Probat 12 drum roaster housed on site. Customers can drink espresso, Chemex or V60 filter coffee at the counter using beans roasted metres away, choose from single origins and house blends, or take home a Swiss Water decaffeinated option. Alongside retail sales, the roastery supplies and trains independent cafes across Devon as wholesale customers. The shop keeps weekday hours only, closing Saturday and Sunday, and offers a coffee subscription service for regulars who order by post.
