Gallery One

Gallery One occupies a converted building on Brewery Lane in Cookstown, where a single family has run the gallery through three generations. The gallery specialises in Irish, British and European fine art, framing and art restoration, with a changing programme of exhibitions through the year. Alongside collectable and internationally recognised names, the walls carry work by Mid Ulster artists including George Gourley, Andrea Hayes, Paul Mitchell and Denis Ferguson, giving regional painters a commercial outlet rarely available outside Belfast. The in-house framing and restoration workshop handles pieces for private collectors as well as gallery stock, a service that has kept the family trade going as retail habits have shifted online. The Cookstown premises remain the gallery's original base, predating its later Belfast branch.
