Gallery One occupies a premises on Brewery Lane in Cookstown and is now run by the third generation of the same family, with a second branch on Belfast's Lisburn Road. The gallery specialises in Irish fine art, framing, publishing and restoration, hanging work by artists including Maurice Wilks, William Conor, Jack B Yeats and Charles McAuley alongside contemporary Irish, British and European painters. Framing and restoration are carried out on the premises rather than sent away, a point of pride for a business with four decades in the trade. It opens Monday to Saturday, with slightly longer hours in the middle of the week, and continues to deal directly with buyers and collectors rather than through auction houses.
