Green Duck began brewing in 2012 and moved to its current site on the Gainsborough Trading Estate in Stourbridge the following year. Alex Hill joined as head brewer in 2015 and has since pushed the range beyond core cask ales into stouts, lagers and barrel-aged beers, producing between five and eight thousand litres a week. The taproom pours eighteen lines of beer and cider alongside a large gin and rum selection, and a glass wall lets drinkers look straight into the brewhouse. Stone-baked pizza is served at weekends, and the outdoor Brewers Yard beer garden opens through the warmer months. Beyond regular opening hours on Fridays and Saturdays, the site hosts brewery brunches, a comedy club, trivia nights and seasonal beer, cider, rum and gin festivals. The name comes from a founder's son's favourite colour.
