The Yak

Head chef Tulak Regmi brings three decades of cooking experience across Nepal, India and Dubai to The Yak, tucked down Victoria Passage in Stourbridge town centre. The menu runs from Nepalese momos and thali to North Indian curries, with the kitchen drawing on regional spice blends rather than a single house style. The restaurant holds a five-star food hygiene rating and offers set and a la carte menus alongside private dining. Booths and close-set tables give the room an informal, neighbourhood feel rather than a special-occasion one. Alongside dine-in service, the kitchen runs a home-delivery arm under the name The Yak at Home. It is one of a small number of independent Nepalese restaurants in the Black Country, run without the backing of a wider restaurant group.
