Transparent Glass Studio operates from The Glasshouse at the Ruskin Glass Centre on Wollaston Road, within Stourbridge's historic glass quarter. Paul Floyd set up the studio in 2003 and teaches fused-glass workshops there, capping sessions at four people so each participant gets individual attention through the kiln-forming process. Alongside teaching, the studio designs, fabricates and fits architectural stained glass, and undertakes restoration and repair work for churches and private houses across the West Midlands, travelling further afield by arrangement. Workshops run on a scheduled basis rather than daily, with dates posted ahead through the studio's own booking channel. The Ruskin Glass Centre itself houses a cluster of independent makers and workshops, continuing a glassmaking tradition in Stourbridge that stretches back generations.
