Hangar 42 -Spitfire Visitor Centre

The Spitfire Visitor Centre occupies Hangar 42 at Blackpool Airport, a building constructed in 1939 for the RAF. Four Spitfires, a Hawker Hurricane and a Bf109e are under restoration with original parts, alongside RAF airfield vehicles, motorcycles and groundcrew equipment. A replica operations and briefing room and a full-size replica Spitfire MKV simulator are on site, with volunteer-led talks on Fylde Coast wartime history on public open days. Adults £12, children £6.
