Heartland Coffee Roasters traces back to 2000, when New Zealand-born Tara and Australian-born Mal began roasting coffee at home in London, moving to a commercial roaster in 2005. The pair relocated the business to Llandudno in 2012, setting up at Unit 6, Cwrt Roger Mostyn on Builder Street, where the roastery and coffee bar now share a single unit. Landmark, their signature espresso blend, has anchored the range for over fifteen years alongside a decaf counterpart and single-origin seasonals such as Samba from Brazil. Heartland supplies coffee shops across North Wales directly from the roastery rather than through a distributor, buying green beans through direct trade relationships with growers. The coffee bar opens Monday to Friday, nine until four, and Saturday mornings, with extended Saturday hours through May and June for coffee and cake.
