Kingdom Forge

Blacksmith's forge at Manor Barn in Brundish, set up in 2013 by Paul Stoddart, who trained at the National School of Blacksmithing in Hereford. He works coal forges and power hammers of five and six tonnes, turning out bearded axes at around eight a week and taking commissions for swords. The forge has supplied metalwork to the Royal Armouries and the Tower of London, and for Disney's 2023 Snow White. Roughly five hundred students a year come through its blacksmithing and axe-making courses. The name and maker's mark nod to Isambard Kingdom Brunel's top hat.
