Lowthwaite is a four-room bed and breakfast run by Jim and Tine from their home in the Matterdale valley, about four miles from Ullswater. It is the only dwelling at Lowthwaite, with open views toward Blencathra and Helvellyn, and the owners furnished the house partly with pieces sourced during earlier years spent running Kilimanjaro treks in Tanzania.
