Luna SimoneHotel

The Luna Simone Hotel has operated as a family-run guesthouse on Belgrave Road, Pimlico, since Mr Desira senior established it in 1970. His twin sons, Peter and Bernard Desira, took over management in 1980 and still run the hotel today, working from the same terraced townhouse between Victoria and Pimlico stations. Rooms are simply furnished, with a small breakfast room serving guests each morning, and staff turnover is low enough that returning visitors are recognised at the door. The hotel has never expanded into a second building or chain, remaining a single independent address across three generations of the same family's involvement. Recent redecoration has kept the building's Georgian proportions while updating bathrooms and furnishings, and the Desira family still manages bookings and reception personally.
