Maurice Moen opened his shop on Clapham's Pavement in 1971, and his son Garry has run it for years — the company register shows the succession plainly, Maurice stepping back in 2018 with Garry a director since 2004 and Susan Moen keeping the books. The counter runs wider than most restaurants' menus, from proper English rare breeds through jamón ibérico, and the trade's cooks shop here on their days off, which is the reference that matters. Green-tiled, sawdust-serious, and still posting its wares with evident pride — a butcher's shop as Clapham's constant while everything around it changed hands twice.
