The New Inn Hotel occupies a coaching inn built in 1704 on Market Street in Ellon, overlooking the River Ythan, where it once served as a changeover point for horses pulling coaches between Aberdeen and Peterhead. The current owners have run it as an independent family business since 1993, offering 17 bedrooms in single, twin, double and family configurations, several with river views. Food is served in the Cornkist restaurant or the more informal Chaumer bar, with a menu built around pub classics, local seafood and grill dishes alongside sandwiches at lunchtime. The inn operates from this single Market Street address, with no other branches. Its eighteenth-century origins and riverside setting have made it one of Ellon's longest-standing businesses.
