Nook & Cranny occupies The Shed, a small converted building just off South Street in Alderley Edge, and has traded as an independent coffee shop under owner Anna Williams since she took over what was previously called The Village Green. The shop serves coffee from Kickback Coffee, a nearby roastery, alongside cakes, pastries, soups and sandwiches made on the premises using locally sourced ingredients. A small range of gifts and homeware from local suppliers is sold alongside the food and drink counter. The shop is dog-friendly, with indoor seating and a handful of outdoor tables on South Street used through the warmer months. Williams runs the shop day to day, serving a mix of regulars stopping in before work and visitors passing through the village. The name change came with the change of ownership, though the shop has kept its original site and layout on South Street throughout, remaining a single, independently owned café rather than part of any wider chain.
