Toby and Caroline McKenzie incorporated RedWillow in July 2010 and have been its only directors since — husband-and-wife brewing that outgrew itself politely, moving to a purpose-built unit on Byrons Lane in 2015 and expanding again in 2021. The Park Green bar is where the town drinks the results, five cask and fifteen keg lines' worth, and the results hold up under adjudication: four Great Taste awards in 2024, among them three stars for Perceptionless, their New England IPA, which is as high as Great Taste counts. A second bar trades over the hills in Buxton. Macclesfield lost the silk trade; the beer trade appears to be in better hands.
