O&Co Blacksmiths

O&Co Blacksmiths works from a forge at The Stable Yard on Main Street in Cotesbach, a village on the Cotesbach Estate near Lutterworth. Oliver Boyett set up the business in 2018 after training at Hereford College of Technology and completing a five-year apprenticeship under master blacksmith Don Barker. The workshop produces gates, railings, lighting, furniture and sculpture in forged metal, and also restores historic ironwork from houses, gardens and churches, including recent commemorative metalwork for a church in Rugby. Boyett combines hand-forging with modern metalworking equipment and takes on both bespoke commissions and conservation projects. Visitors can arrange to see the forge in operation by calling ahead. The business is a sole-trader workshop rather than part of a group, operating from the same estate premises since it started, alongside other small enterprises that let workshop space on the working Cotesbach Estate.
