The Cedars occupies a Victorian house on Burton Road, a five-minute walk from Ashby-de-la-Zouch's market town centre, and is run under the personal supervision of Simon and Pauline Sedgley, who have owned and operated the guest house together for many years. Ten en-suite bedrooms are offered across single, double, twin and family configurations, each with a television, Wi-Fi, a desk and tea and coffee-making equipment. A full breakfast, either cooked English or continental, is included, and dogs are welcome by prior arrangement. The house stands within its own grounds inside the National Forest, with off-road parking for guests. Simon and Pauline oversee the day-to-day running of the house themselves rather than through employed management, a level of hands-on ownership reflected in the ten-room scale of the operation rather than a larger commercial hotel.
