Park Guest House occupies a farmhouse on Hereford Road in Abergavenny that is roughly 300 years old and once had its own surrounding farmland. The Herring family has run it as a bed and breakfast for close to 20 years, offering seven letting rooms, each with tea and coffee facilities, a television and a washbasin, with around half having en-suite bathrooms. A cooked breakfast is included in the room rate, served alongside cereal and fruit each morning. The guest house is a ten-minute walk from Abergavenny's shops, pubs and restaurants, and the owners provide local walking routes and maps for guests heading into the Black Mountains or up the Sugar Loaf. Off-road parking is available on site, and rooms are cleaned and made up daily during a stay. Park Guest House operates independently of any hotel group, taking bookings directly by phone or through its own website rather than through a franchise brand.
